El Gallo Giro is a Mexican Food restaurant located in Santa Ana, Orange County, California.  If you're from Southern California, then you know how much we like our Mexican Food.  If you're not, then you need to be sampling the variety of Mexican food Orange County has to offer.  You can pick almost any commercial street, drive a few blocks, and find a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant.  They're not always great, but in general, they're pretty good.

But you don't have to guess now, head down to Santa Ana on the corner of Bristol and Edinger and have yourself a Torta from El Gallo Giro.

Another thing that makes El Gallo Giro stand out are their fruit juices.  You can find fresh juices like Watermelon, Banana, and several other unusual fruit juices which so far have all been amazing.  I highly recommend you try a juice with your food.

From GalloGiro.com...
El Gallo Giro (“The Champion Rooster”) opened its first authentic Mexican restaurant in January of 1988 with the vision of recreating the traditional flavors of México in an atmosphere that combines the liveliness of a Mexican marketplace with the kitchen-like comfort of a family meal. From the beginning, we have offered uncompromising quality, generous portions, and truly authentic Mexican food bursting with freshness and flavor.

It was important to us to recreate México’s most delicious dishes using traditional Mexican methods, so to appeal to those seeking an authentic Mexican experience…and we have never sacrificed that goal by cutting corners or cutting costs. Our guests can see how we prepare our signature carnitas in a cazo (kettle) in the traditional Michoacán style; how we make our tortillas from scratch to bring out the natural flavor of the warm masa; how our pastry chefs bake our bread daily for a fresh, fluffy taste; or how we use the ripest, real fruits to make our Aguas Frescas—and the many other customary practices that make us who we are. Over the years, we have continued to enhance our offerings, always using the highest standards of freshness and authenticity as our mantra for success.

The festive and friendly atmosphere of El Gallo Giro family kitchen makes guests feel at home…because it feels like home. To begin with, each restaurant is designed with an open kitchen where diners can experience the energy of our hands-on preparation. To enhance the authentic feel is a panaderia, a customary Mexican bakery offering moist pastries and fresh-from-the-oven breads, as well as an Aguas Frescas area, a traditional juice bar with all the bright colors and sweet smells of an outdoor fruit stand. Finally, authentic decor, the bustle of a warm and welcoming staff, and the spirited rhythms of mariachi music complete this celebration of culture and cuisine.

The future of El Gallo Giro is brighter than ever. With 11 locations as of 2008, at El Gallo Giro we know that by delivering delicious dishes true to tradition, showing pride in our Mexican heritage, and welcoming our guests into an environment full of life, we will continue to hold a spot in our customers’ hearts (as well as in their stomachs!) Now that our authenticity is “certified” by the media and our loyal clientele, other non-Hispanic groups are discovering our kitchen as they search for fresh and flavorful Mexican food, cooked with care and pride.
